How It Works
1. All eligible patients are assessed by our team for suitability for our hospital substitution program.
2. Once approved by the Medical Director, your consent to treatment is obtained. A care plan is developed in partnership with you and or your carer.
3. You will be provided with an expected length of care and treatment and advice on expenses.
​4. Your care will be routinely monitored either remotely or with a daily visit by one of the registered nurses or a doctor.
5. You can access help or advice 24 hours a day through a direct contact number.
6. When your treatment is completed, you will be assessed for discharge back to your General Practitioner.
​7. In the event of any medical emergency, Mt Sinai Virtual Hospital will arrange for an immediate assessment and transfer to either a public or private hospital. This will depend on the level of the emergency.
